Life is precious

It is with a heavy heart I write this as I think of the very wonderful Gerry Ryan , RTE radio reporter presenter for the last twenty years, who passed away on Friday 30th of May suddenly. He was always there in the mornings with his devilish sense of humour, never afraid to say what was on his mind, loved by all the women of Ireland whom he helped through every aspect of life through his microphone.A one off, the mould was broken when Gerry was born and it is a very dark week for all of us whose life he touched through the radio and his grieving family, A light has gone out at RTE and will never be replaced....he leaves his five children a legacy as the most adored man in Ireland, especially in Dublin. I wonder what he would think of it all, condolences books being signed by thousands. God bless you and may you have the top broadcasting spot up there.....I listened to his last show on the podcast and it was eerie to think he was dead the next day....gone but never forgotten. x
